Madison Steinkamp
Madison Steinkamp serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the St. Thomas Law Review. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, with a minor in Business Law, from Stetson University. While in law school, she received the Scribe Award for writing a publishable Comment, as seen in the St. Thomas Law Review Journal Volume 36, Issue II. Madison is pursuing the Intercultural Human Rights Certificate and is also a Public Interest Law Society member. She also serves as an Academic Success Program Fellow mentoring incoming law students. Madison previously served as a Legal Extern with the Air Force JAG Corps at the Homestead Air Reserve Base in Homestead, FL. She is interested in practicing constitutional law, focusing on governmental entities and agencies. In her free time, Madison likes to read and enjoys traveling.
Managing Editor
Broderick Schwinghammer
Broderick Schwinghammer serves as Managing Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. Born and raised in South Florida, Broderick graduated from the University of Florida in 2014, where he earned a Bachelor of the Arts in English. Prior to attending law school, Broderick worked in education, focusing on literacy and teaching younger children how to read. While in law school, Broderick interned with the Honorable Judge Robert T. Watson in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and is currently pursuing an Intellectual Property Certificate. In his free time, Broderick can be found at the beach (probably surfing), at the movies, watching an indie film, or getting into spirited debates online about weekend box office grosses.

Thomas Santi
Thomas Santi serves as Executive Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a certificate in Pre-Law Skills and Professional Values. Thomas is interested in practicing business and real estate law and is currently pursuing a certificate in Real Estate Law. He was also a legal extern in the Real Estate and Transactions division at the Office of the City Attorney in Miami, where he enhanced his legal research and contract drafting skills by working on lease agreements, revocable license agreements, opinions of title, and more. In his free time, Thomas enjoys exercising, playing video games, and spending time with his family and friends.

Sara Asher
Sara Asher serves as a Notes and Comments Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. Sara was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Florida International University in 2021, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy. Sara has a passion for criminal law and appellate advocacy. She spent her first law school summer interning for a federal judge in the Southern District of Florida and her second law school summer interning at the Miami-Dade public defender’s office. Sara is also the vice president of internal affairs for the St. Thomas Moot Court Board, where she is perfecting her advocacy skills for real-life practice. After law school, she plans on becoming a criminal defense attorney. Sara enjoys watching and reviewing films, going to the gym, and baking treats during her free time.

Stephanie Blanco
Stephanie Blanco serves as a Notes and Comments Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2021, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and two minors in Legal Studies and Mass Communication. Prior to starting law school, she worked as a legal assistant at the Aaronson Law Firm located in Orlando, Florida. In the summer of 2023, she worked at Vernis & Bowling as a law clerk for the third-party property division. From late January 2024 to the present, she has been interning as a law clerk for Barakat + Bossa in Coral Gables, which specializes in business and commercial litigation. After law school, she plans on becoming a business and commercial litigator focusing on business disputes. During her free time, Stephanie enjoys going to Pilates, playing tennis, watching shows and movies, and spending time with her friends and family.

Alexander Gonzalez-Brito
Alexander Gonzalez-Brito serves as a Senior Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and a Minor in Hospitality in 2022. Prior to attending law school, he gained experience working at MSP Recovery Law Firm over multiple summers. During Law School, Alexander has spent his summers working at Sioli Alexander Pino and, currently, Cole, Scott, & Kissane. Currently, Alexander’s future interests include a career as a Civil Litigation lawyer or working within the legal side of the entertainment or sports industry. Alexander enjoys fishing, hunting, and watching movies in his free time.

Daniel De Izaguirre
Daniel De Izaguirre serves as a Senior Articles Editor. He was born and raised in Miami, where he attended Christopher Columbus High School. In 2022, he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in political science, a Minor in Criminal Justice, and a Victim Advocacy Certificate. Daniel’s professional experience includes working at Dos Santos Law in 2023 and Friedland & Associates in 2024. Daniel plans to pursue an LLM in Taxation after graduating from law school in 2025. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family and friends by going to the beach, playing pickleball, and eating dinner.

Devin Moore
Devin Moore serves as a Senior Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Risk Management/Insurance from Florida State University in 2022. During law school, he worked under the General Counsel of Tavistock Development Company, specializing in real estate development, and as a law clerk for Legal Services of Greater Miami in their Tenants’ Rights Division. Devin is also a member of the St. Thomas Trial Team, where he is working to perfect his litigation skills. For Summer 2024, he will be working as a summer associate with Wicker Smith. Upon graduating from law school, he is interested in practicing in the area of business and commercial litigation. During his free time, he enjoys exercising, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

Lauren Monteagudo
Lauren Monteagudo serves as the Article Solicitation Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelors in English and a minor in Business Communications. Lauren has worked as an intern at a family law firm and as a legal assistant in a civil litigation firm. Beginning the summer after her first year of law school and throughout the fall semester, Lauren worked in a civil litigation firm where she further developed her legal research, writing, and trial preparation skills. During her second year of law school, Lauren interned at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. in their Eviction Defense department to further her knowledge in eviction defense and how to litigate those issues. After law school, Lauren is interested in practicing business, real estate, and/or family law. Outside of her professional pursuits, Lauren enjoys traveling to learn about new cultures, dancing, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.

Rocio Iglesias Gonzalez
Rocio Iglesias Gonzalez serves as the Executive Online Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. Rocio graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a certificate in Pre-Law Skills and Professional Values. Before attending law school, Rocio worked as a registered behavior technician, providing behavioral therapy services to children. During her first law school summer, Rocio interned for the Honorable Judge Migna Sanchez-Llorens at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. During her second year of law school, Rocio was a research assistant for Professor Gregory Dickinson; and an intern for Magistrate Judge Reid at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Currently, she serves as a Law Clerk at Israel & Israel, P.A. Upon graduating from law school Rocio wants to practice criminal law focusing on white-collar defense. During her free time, Rocio enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending quality time with her family and boyfriend.

Lauren Viola
Lauren Viola serves as the Alumni Relations and Events Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. She is also the Executive Vice-President of the St. Thomas Law Moot Court Board. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Media Communications from Florida State University in 2021. She is currently working as a law clerk at Kanner & Pintaluga in the property damage field. Previously, she worked as a law clerk at EPGD Business Law and interned for Judge Beth Bloom at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida through the Judicial Intern Academy. In her free time, Lauren loves to workout and spend time with her family, friends, and cat.
